OIL, GAS AND MINERAL LAW: Bob Goldsmith, a former independent landman, has over 25 years experience preparing oil and gas documents and examining titles. Karen Bogisch has over 10 years experience. They have worked on oil, gas or hard mineral properties in almost every producing area of Texas.    Mr. Goldsmith and Ms. Bogisch have also represented clients in litigation concerning operator/non-operator issues, oil field contractors, oil and gas wells, uranium and asphalt mines, nonpayment for production, interference with operations, and many other issues.  G&B prevailed for its clients in the reported cases of Stable Energy, L.P. v. Newberry, 999 S.W. 2d 538 (Tex. App. - Austin 1999) and Stable Energy, L.P. v. Kachina Oil & Gas, Inc., 52 S.W. 3d 327  (Tex. App. - Austin 2001).

BANKRUPTCY: G&B represents creditors in bankruptcies ranging from personal bankruptcies to major Chapter 11s such as In Re: MGF Oil Corporation, Cs. No. 7-84-02160-E-11 (US Bkcy. Ct. WD Tex.1987 - analyzed in U. Penn. Law Review, 139/1, Wisc. Law Review, 1991/1, and Cornell Law Review, 78/4), in which Mr. Goldsmith, while a partner with a prior firm, was lead counsel for a creditor in a takeover of a publicly traded debtor.

BUSINESS LAW: G&B represents business persons in the formation and operation of businesses and business-related litigation including fraud and contract issues. G&B does not handle securities or tax law issues.

LITIGATION:  G&B has represented clients in State and Federal courts in many areas of Texas and before the Third Court of Appeals in Austin.
