Patrick Ivy was born in Austin, Texas on March 5, 1981. He attended high school in Dripping Springs, Texas, graduating in 1999. After high school, he attended The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2003 with a B.B.A. in finance and an appreciation for Longhorn football. While working on his undergraduate degree, Mr. Ivy was a member of the Longhorn Marching Band and the Delta Chi fraternity. Mr. Ivy attended law school at The University of Texas, where he was Chief Articles Editor of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law. He earned his J.D. in 2007, graduating with honors.
Mr. Ivy is an enthusiastic skier, and worked for two winter seasons at the Wolf Creek Ski Resort. During warmer months, Mr. Ivy enjoys authoring electronic music, painting, automotive work, hunting, and his Sony computer entertainment system.
Mr. Ivy's practice focuses on oil and gas law. Mr. Ivy is a member of the Austin Bar Association and its Oil, Gas & Mineral Law section and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Ivy is admitted to practice before the state courts in Texas. |
