A.       Oil, Gas & Mineral Litigation

G&B has represented clients in litigation involving operating agreement issues, non-payment for production, tortious interference with contract, access, trespass, oil and gas wells, uranium and asphalt mines, and gas purchase agreements.  G&B also handles appellate cases involving oil, gas & mineral law issues and prevailed for its clients in the reported cases of Stable Energy, L.P. v. Newberry, 999 S.W. 2d 538 (Tex. App. - Austin 1999) and Stable Energy, L.P. v. Kachina Oil & Gas, Inc., 52 S.W. 3d 327 (Tex. App-Austin 2001).

         B.       Oil and Gas Title Examination and State Agency Record Search

Mr. Goldsmith is a former independent landman.  As an attorney he has over 25 years of experience examining oil and gas titles.  Ms. Bogisch has over 10 years of experience as an oil and gas title examiner and was Chairman of the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Section of the Travis County Bar Association in 2001-2002.  Both have written papers and spoken at seminars on title examination topics, and they have prepared drilling opinions, division order opinions, acquisition opinions, and various types of limited opinions covering properties in almost every producing area of Texas and in many other producing states.  Mr. Goldsmith also serves as an expert witness on title issues.

G&B places emphasis on the speed and accuracy of its attorneys' title work, and its extensive oil and gas litigation experience makes its attorneys well qualified to evaluate title issues and avoid burdening land departments with unnecessary requirements.

G&B attorneys also conduct speedy and accurate searches of records at the General Land Office, Secretary of State, Railroad Commission, and other state agencies.

G&B represents mineral and royalty owners in oil and gas transactions and litigation.  Clients include farmers, ranchers, trusts, a church and generally anyone owning land in a producing area.  G&B's special lease forms for landowners are continually updated, and are used by many clients including the trust department of a major bank and one of Texas' largest ranch operators.

E.       Production Purchases and Energy Bankruptcies

G&B recently helped arrange for the purchase of $61 million of producing gas assets by a consortium of utilities.  G&B attorneys have historically been involved in oil and gas bankruptcy and creditor's rights issues.
